Which Bedgear pillow is which

Bedgear names its pillows by the job they do rather than by material. The Balance, Level and Rise are the everyday Performance pillows and the right starting point for most back and side sleepers: all three use moisture-wicking covers, and the Rise adds instant-cooling threads. The Storm, Aspen and Flow add mesh panels and air vents for continuous airflow. The Summit is flippable with a different feel on each side, the Cosmo has dual cooling layers plus a softer side and a firmer side, and the Beauty has a smooth Hyper-Silk cover shaped to reduce sleep lines. The Night Ice is the coolest-to-the-touch pillow in the range and the one we hand to people who flip their pillow over at two in the morning. The Cuddle Curve versions of the Balance, Balance 3.X, Flow and Storm use a curved shape that contours to the body, which side sleepers who hug their pillow tend to prefer. Getting the height right

• Side sleepers need the most height, enough to fill the gap between ear and shoulder; broad shoulders usually mean the tallest option.
• Back sleepers want a medium height that cradles the neck without pushing the chin forward.
• Stomach sleepers should go as low as possible; the Low Standard bed pillow is often the right answer.
• If your neck aches on a great mattress, the pillow is the usual culprit; pair the right height with a mattress for side sleepers or the feel you already know suits you.
