About Nectar
Memory foam or hybrid
Every Nectar tier is offered two ways. The memory foam versions have the classic slow, contouring Nectar feel that side sleepers and people with pressure-point pain tend to love. The hybrid versions replace the foam base with a pocketed coil unit, which adds bounce, a firmer edge and better airflow. Combination sleepers, heavier sleepers and anyone who found an all-foam bed too warm usually prefer the hybrid. Lying on the Classic Memory Foam next to the Classic Hybrid on our floor is the quickest way to learn which camp you are in.
What changes as you go up the range
- Classic: the original 12-inch Nectar feel at the lowest price, with a cool-to-the-touch cover. A medium-firm all-rounder and one of the most popular mattresses under $1,000 we sell.
- Premier: 13 inches, with double the pressure-relieving memory foam and more cooling fibers than the Classic.
- Luxe: 14 inches, with triple the memory foam of the Classic for a deeper, plusher cradle.
- Ultra: 15 inches, with the most contouring foam in the range, a zoned ergonomic support layer and phase-change cooling material.
Who a Nectar suits
Nectar's medium-firm feel is a safe middle ground for back sleepers and most side sleepers; compare it with the rest of our mattresses for side sleepers if you sleep mostly on your side. The foam construction isolates motion well, which puts the Luxe and Ultra on the shortlist for couples where one partner tosses and turns. Stomach sleepers and people who want a springy surface will usually be happier on the hybrid version.
Buy it from a local store instead of a box
The Katy showroom on Kingsland Boulevard serves Katy, Cinco Ranch and west Houston; the Richmond showroom on FM 359 is the flagship. Both keep Nectar set up alongside the other brands we carry so you can compare feels in one visit, and both offer financing and local delivery, which is a different experience from wrestling a compressed roll up the stairs.
