Sunterra covers roughly 2,303 acres on the northwest side of Katy, gathered around Clay Road and Bartlett Road a few miles north of Interstate 10 and west of the Grand Parkway. It is big enough to straddle two counties, Harris and Waller, and its master plan calls for something close to 7,000 homes, which makes it one of the top-selling master-planned communities in Texas in recent years. Whether your street runs off Stockdick School Road, Schlipf Road, Beckendorff Road or Pitts Road, the trip to our Katy showroom on Kingsland Blvd is the same errand: south out of the community, then down toward the freeway. Call it twenty minutes.
A drive that short should change how you shop. It takes the pressure off settling everything in one afternoon, which is where most mattress regret actually starts. Come once to narrow the floor down to two or three beds, sleep on the thought for a night or two, then come back later in the week and lie on the finalists again with a clearer head.
